ST. CLOUD - Plans for phase two of the renovation of the Herb Brooks National Hockey and Events Center have been put on hold.

President Earl Potter says they want to re-assess what comes next for the building. He says there are a number of hockey-related things that need to be done first, that don't necessarily have anything to do with the renovation.

He says they also want to re-evaluate their plans for phase two.

Instead, Potter says there are a number of bite-size changes that they'll be making over the next few years.

Phase one of the renovation of the Herb Brooks National Hockey and Events Center was completed last fall.  That included a new atrium, private suites, and locker rooms.  Potter says they have met their campaign goals and finished phase one in good shape.

Potter says the changes already made to the building in phase one have made the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center a first class arena for a top quality Division I hockey team.
