SAUK RAPIDS - Sauk Rapids Mayor Mark Campbell, and other city leaders, broke ground on the future site of their new Government Center today (Tuesday).

The new City Hall, Police Headquarters, and Community Center will be built at the corner of Summit Avenue and 2nd Street - adjacent to the Public Works Facility.

Campbell says they plan to be in the dirt by July of this year, and be moved into the completed building by June of 2012.

The Sauk Rapids City Council sold their previous City Hall earlier this year to Semper Development, which is in the process of building a new Walgreens Store at that location.
