Project Lifesaver Credited With Locating Missing Boy

ROSEVILLE, Minn. (AP) - Authorities in Roseville say a missing 10-year-old boy with autism was found quickly with the help of a tracking device.

Emergency responders were able to target the child's location Sunday because he was wearing a bracelet with a radio transmitter - a tracking program called Project Lifesaver.

Reports say firefighters from Roseville, St. Paul, Maplewood and Little Canada responded and the boy was located in about 20 minutes, just as a State Patrol helicopter was preparing to launch for an aerial search.
