SAUK RAPIDS - There is a power outage that's affecting the Sauk Rapids-Rice school buses.

Superintendent Dan Bittman says the buses can't get out of the bus garage, which means they aren't able to pick-up the kids at their regular time.

School at Sauk Rapids-Rice will be starting on time.  Kids who normally take the bus won't be counted as absent.

Bittman says the outage has been fixed by Xcel Energy, and that the buses will be running two hours late.

The kids and families who use the buses should be looking at the district's website, and watching for email blasts, for updates on when the buses will be able to get out of the bus garage and start picking-up kids.
