OPOLE -- The Opole trailer manufacturer has hired some replacement workers to keep the plant running while its 360 workers entered day three of a strike.

Polar Tank Trailer Marketing Manager Tim Kelly says they have invited their employees back to work but also intend to meet customer commitments.

Kelly couldn't say how many replacement workers were hired, but he says they are scheduling more negotiating sessions with its striking union.

Members of the International Association of machinists Local 165 are striking over what they say are cuts to wages and benefits. Polar officials maintain they have the "premier offer in the industry" on the table.
