Pets.  Whatever you consider as your personal companion, whether it's a dog or cat or even some other type of critter, you most likely will think of them as a part of the family.  Pets can be the best companion, and they are generally very happy to see you when you come home.

If you are looking for a new "study buddy" for the beginning of the school year, this event might be the perfect thing for you and your family!  Maybe you are going to soon be an empty nester and everyone has moved out of the house, gone on to college, and now you have time and would love to have that extra companionship that a pet can bring you.

This is a pet adoption event put on by the Tri-County Humane Society and will happen at Crossroads Center on August 17th from 10am to 1pm.

This is the perfect time to see what pets are available for adoption and see if one of them speaks to you, and will become your new family member.

Back to School Pet Adoption Event!

Join us at Crossroads Center and find your new family member! Tri-County Humane Society is bringing adoptable pets! Come meet your new study buddy on Saturday August 17th, from 10:00am to 1:00pm. We hope to see you there!

If you are unfamiliar with the adoption processes at the Tri-County Humane Society, there are some things you should know.

All pets have been spayed or neutered.

...all dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and rabbits prior to adoption since 2012. The cost of this procedure is included in the adoption fee, not in addition to it.

All dogs and cats are given necessary vaccinations.

...dogs and cats receive distemper combination vaccines. Dogs also receive a bordatella vaccine to help prevent kennel cough. Some pets receive rabies vaccines, but not all.

The animals are all examined for any health issues, and basic treatments and been administered.  They are also microchipped.  Tri-County Humane Society also has a 30 day policy on returning a pet that doesn't work out for you and your family.  Sometimes things don't work out for various reasons, and the Tri-County Humane Society is sensitive to that possibility.

You can get all the information on fees, policies and practices on the TCHS website.
