The Olympics is always filled with amazing feats of strength, durability, courage, tenacityOH SCREW IT DID YOU SEE THE BREAKING EVENT?!

I was onboard with Breaking ('breakdancing' to us older folk) being an Olympic event weeks ago, but now I'm all in. ALL. IN. And it's all because of a University professor named Raygun.

Rachael Gunn is a 36-year-old university professor representing the Breaking Capitol of the World...Australia. She has created a ton of buzz due to her routine - a "kangaroo dance" - scoring exactly zero points.

Tell this "news" lady to have the stick up her a$$ surgically removed and actually enjoy life a bit.

Now, one of the zillions of clichés in this world is: "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" ~ Oscar Wilde

Of course, that's not the complete quote from Mr. Wilde. The full quote is: "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness". I believe that applies here.

Raygun brought extra attention to Breaking at the Olympics. Yes, it's mostly negative. If you only get joy out of badmouthing others, then you'll absolutely hate (or love?) her performance in Paris. I'm not sure how she got to the Olympics with a routine like that; but whether it was from a TikTok video that my teen shared with me, or Wonder Bread talking heads around the world barking at her from the safety of their news desk, I thoroughly enjoyed her performance.

I don't believe that she deserved a medal, or even a higher score.

I absolutely enjoyed the hell out of her routine. If my back ever completely heals up, I'll bust out this routine at the next wedding I get invited to.

(And THAT is how you avoid ever getting invited to a wedding again)

Raygun rocks and the haters can kick rocks.
