One Man Fatally Shot, Another Wounded in Car in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Minneapolis police say a man was fatally shot and another critically wounded while they were in a car on the edge of downtown Minneapolis.

Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder says the shooting happened early Sunday afternoon on 7th Street North heading into downtown.

Elder says the victim who survived was in critical condition. Reports say the man who died was the driver of the car, while his passenger was wounded.

Authorities say one or more suspects drove from the scene.

The gunfire erupted several blocks from Target Field, where the Minnesota Twins were playing the Cleveland Indians.
