O’Mara Murder Trial Date Set

FOLEY -- Benton County has set a trial date for a woman accused of killing her ex-husband in Sauk Rapids last November. 39-year-old Angelina O'Mara will stand trial in the murder of James O'Mara November 5th.

Officials have set aside two weeks for the trial.

O'Mara is charged with first and second degree murder in the death of James O'Mara. He was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in his Sauk Rapids apartment.

O'Mara also faces murder charges in Wisconsin after her boyfriend, Michael Pies was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head in an Ashland hotel room just days later.
