
Monticello Man Arrested For Alleged Meth Possession, Cancelled Drivers License
BIG LAKE -- A Monticello man was arrested for allegedly driving with a cancelled drivers license and for possessing drugs.
The incident happened on March 23rd at about 6:30 p.m. along Highway 10 in Big Lake.
Police Chief Joel Scharf says during a license plate check, officers noticed 45-year-old Tony Ahner had a cancelled license status and his license plates were flagged to be seized for an alcohol violation.
During a search of the vehicle, officers also found a plastic bag containing 4.3 grams of methamphetamine.
Ahner was arrested and taken to Sherburne County Jail. He faces charges of Driving while Cancelled-IPS and 3rd degree controlled substance possession.
