Mississippi River in St. Cloud Under Flood Watch

ST. CLOUD -  The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Mississippi River in St. Cloud.  The watch will go into effect on Thursday, and remain in effect until further notice.

As of Sunday morning the river was at 7.2 feet.  The forecast is for the river to continue to rise and crest at about 9.2 feet by early Thursday afternoon.

Minor flooding in low lying areas along the river is possible this week.
