Minnesotans Need To Be Aware Of Recall On Cordless Trimmer
Keeping everything neat and clean is something that a lot of people will be focused on this summer. Mowing the grass, using the weed trimmer, and cutting the bushes and hedges back are on the list of things that are done on a regular basis.

What's The Problem?
One of the tools that was a popular seller to help with the bushes and hedges has now been recalled. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission reported late last week that the RYOBI 40V 24 Inch Cordless Trimmer was recalled because of the trimmer blade can activate when the safety is put on or using the trigger control option, which poses the danger of cutting the user.
Over 113,000 of these trimmers were sold in the United States as well as over 15,000 sold in Canada. There have been 27 reports of the problem occurring and 16 of those claims were filed by individuals who suffered some level of laceration.
This recall pertains to the model numbers:
RY40620VNM, RY40602VNM and RY40602BTLVNM, and with serial numbers within ranges LT21091D180001 - LT22365D060025 and RG23125N250001 - RG24252D101110.
You will find these numbers on the data plate which is on the bottom of the unit.
These items were sold at Home Depot Stores and homedepot.com as well as Direct Tools Outlet Stores and directtoolsoutlet.com.
