Minnesota cuisine isn't world-renowned for its plethora of spiciness. Black pepper is as far as some Minnesotans will go, and even that can quickly become a bit much.

But when it comes to Halloween candy, Minnesotans are straight up masochists.

The candy I used to love to get out of those 3-candy coin-operated mini-vending machines and mix with Mike and Ike candy is Minnesota's favorite Halloween candy.

Hot Tamales - the Fireball whisky of candy (yes I know: it's vice-versa) - tops the Ope list.

Number Two: Tootsie Pops (we really are the white bread of the United States).

Number Three: Skittles.

The souring of society continues as Sour Patch Kids candy jumped to #3 on the list.

Our taste buds must be dying, because candy corn is up to #7...somehow, above Butterfingers, which just finally cracked the top 10.
