ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud State Huskies men's hockey team (14-14-1, 8-10-1-0 NCHC)  scored a trio of goals in the third to beat Miami University (9-12-6, 5-8-4-2) 4-2 on Friday night.

The win is the fifth straight Friday night victory for the Huskies.

The Redhawks took the lead early in the second on the power-play, but SCSU answered with power play goal of their own from freshman Ryan Poehling.

At the end of the second period the game was tied at one.

Just three minutes into the third the Huskies took the lead with a goal from Mikey Eyssimont. The goal was his 12th of the season. The Huskies added another goal a minute later to go up 3-1 with a goal from Robby Jackson.

The Redhawk's made it a close when they scored another power-play goal with their goalie pulled making it 3-2.

Huskies goaltender Jeff Smith shut it down from there and SCSU scored an empty-netter to win 4-2 over Miami.

The Huskies look for the weekend sweep against Miami tonight 7:00 p.m.at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. Tune in to REV 96.7 to listen to the game tonight.
