ST. CLOUD - Five old homes will be on display this Saturday for the 8th annual "Hidden Treasures Historic Home Tour" in St. Cloud's Lake George neighborhood.

Spokeswoman Joyce Wittenhagen says the homes were all built between 1910 and the 1930s.

Wittenhagen says a lot of shopkeepers who owned businesses downtown also lived in the Lake George neighborhood, because the could walk to work and go home for lunch.

Wittenhagen says they'll be highlighting the area around Lake George.

The McConnell's owned a pig farm on that land 100 years ago. Tech High School and Clark Field were built in 1917, forever changing that area of town.

Saturday's home tour is from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 the day of the tour. Tickets are available at Byerly's and Coborn's on Cooper Avenue.  Everyone is to go to the Lake George complex to start, then it's a self-guided tour. You can arrive anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
