ST. CLOUD -- Work could begin as soon as tomorrow on the four-lane expansion of Highway 23 between St. Cloud and Foley.

The project was slated to start July 1st but Project Supervisor Rick Beckes says they had to wait to get contract approval. And, with the government shutdown those contracts sat idle.

Beckes says this year's work won't have much of an impact on motorists.  Most of the work this year will be creating the new alignment for the westbound lanes.

The two-year, $26-million project will be from Highway 95 east of St. Cloud to Highway 25 in Foley.
