CHISHOLM, Minn. (AP) - Authorities say an outdoor wood stove apparently started a grass fire that destroyed a home and outbuildings in northeastern Minnesota.

The St. Louis County sheriff's office says the property owner in Chisholm (CHIS'-uhm) reported the fire in the backyard about 11:45 a.m. Saturday. The fire then ran toward the home and outbuildings, starting the buildings on fire.

The home and outbuildings are a total loss.

The state fire marshal's office and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources are investigating.
