Gophers Men’s Basketball Steals One From Indiana 66-60
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Golden Gophers Men's Basketball team snapped a three game losing streak thanks to their 66-60 victory over Indiana last night (Saturday).
DeAndra Mathieu was a big key to the victory, scoring 10 of his 16 points in the second half.
Maurice Walker (14 points and 8 rebounds) and Andre Hollins (10 points) also played big for the Gophers.
Indiana's Noah Vonleh's layup off a steal underneath the basket brought the Hoosiers within 62-60 with 41 seconds left, but Mathieu's answered quickly with a layup with 11.6 seconds remaining pushed the lead back to four.
The Gophers improve to 16-8, and 5-6 in the Big Ten conference.
