Gas Leak Shuts Down Zimmermann Businesses on Wednesday

ZIMMERMAN - Several businesses in Zimmerman were evacuated yesterday (Wednesday) because of a gas leak.

The Sherburne County Sheriff's Office says the incident began at 2:00 p.m. when emergency vehicle were dispatched to 3rd Street East and Fremont Avenue.

Excavating crews working on a road project struck a gas line.

The 10-12 businesses that were evacuated were able to reopen at about 4:00 p.m. yesterday.
