ST. CLOUD -- A modern kitchen, backyard with a hot tub and touch screen refrigerator were just a few of the features of the Forever Home at the CMBA Home Show.

The Forever Home showcased the new and popular trends for home building in St. Cloud and around Central Minnesota.

The 2017 Central Minnesota Home Builders Association "Home Show" is at River's Edge Convention Center throughout the weekend.

The show featured local builders, live music, a farmers market and plenty of vendors from around the area. The most exciting addition to the event may have been the Forever Home.

The home was built inside the convention center over the last few days by over 50 different workers.

Jason Dale of J.Dale Builders had the task of constructing the house on such a short time frame. The house had a macho garage, filled with all the outdoor toys a person could want, while the backyard and entertainment room looked as if they came right out of a dream home.

"On Wednesday this was just an empty room and now (Friday) there is a house in it. We made sure that when we built the house we used popular trends in home building."

The house will be on display at the home show through Sunday.
