Driver Arrested After Fleeing Police, Damaging Gas Pump

BECKER -- Police in Becker are investigating a crash that damaged a gas pump following a short vehicle chase on Saturday.

Becker Police Chief Brent Baloun says a vehicle was spotted driving over 90 miles per hour and then followed by an officer.

Authorities say the driver turned off of Highway 10 onto County Road 23, lost control, and then slid into and knocked over a gas pump at the Deli Plus gas station.

Officers arrested the driver, whose name has not yet been released, for fleeing police.

No one was hurt, and the incident is still under investigation.
