District 742 School Board Ends Revenue-Sharing Deal with LEAF [AUDIO]
ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Area School Board has voted to discontinue its revenue sharing policy with the Local Education Activities Foundation. Currently the district transfers $1 per every adult ticket, and .50-cents for each student ticket, to LEAF.
Board Member Les Green wanted to make sure that money would stay in the activities fund for the district.
Executive Director Kevin Januszewski says the total amount ranges between $21,000 and $22,000 a year.
LEAF Executive Director, and school board member Bruce Hentges, removed himself from the room during the discussion. The school board has been worried about conflict of interest issues with LEAF since Hentges was re-elected to the board in November.
