Copper Wire Stolen From Xcel Energy Substation

ST. CLOUD - Someone stole copper from an Xcel Energy substation.

St. Cloud police were called to the substation in northeast St. Cloud at about 12:30 p.m. yesterday (Thursday).

The thieves cut through a perimeter fence and cut about 64 feet of copper cable from the power transformers.  It caused about $2,000 in damage.
