Connecticut Spoils Butler’s Upset Bid In National Title Game

Connecticut defeated Butler 53-41 Monday night in the men's baskeball National Championship game in Houston.  Butler shot a championship game record low 18 percent from the field.  Kemba Walker led UConn with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Shelvin Mack led Butler with 13 points and 9 rebounds.  UConn head coach Jim Calhoun wins his 3rd national title in his coaching career joining legends John Wooden, Adolf Rupp, Bob Knight and Mike Krzyzewski with at least 3 national championships.
