Community Meeting to be Held on Level Three Sex Offender

CLARISSA - The Todd County Sheriff's Office is holding a public meeting in regards to a level three sex offender now living in Clarissa.

A Todd County fact sheet says Israel Lenthe previously engaged in sexual contact with a 5-year-old girl, she was vulnerable due to a disability. There's also prior history of sexual contact with a boy and girl aged 1-6. In each case the offender was known to victims.

Authorities say Lenthe has served his sentence and is not wanted by police at this time.

The public meeting will be held at Clarissa city hall on Wednesday December 9th at 6:00 p.m. Authorities will be available to answer questions.

A level three sex offender is considered high risk to re-offend.
