CENTRAL MN MADE: Microbiologics Keeping Food Supply Safe

ST. CLOUD - We are continuing our "Made in Central Minnesota" series today (Friday) with a story about a St. Cloud company that makes microorganisms.

Microbiologics is a company that's been here in St. Cloud since 1971, but most people have no idea how important they are for the safety of the people of this planet.

Donna Scholer is the Chief Operating Officer.  She explains what it is that they do.

So what the heck does that mean?  One example of what they do is they play a key role in making sure that our food supply is safe to eat.

Scholar says, with the completion of a recent expansion, they will be here for many years to come.

Scholar says they have about 83 employees, most have microbiology or biology degrees.  Microbiologics is one of only three companies in the world that do this kind of work.
