The Granite City Days Parade will take place Saturday starting at 10 a.m. Granite City Days Co-Chairs Alisa Schmidt and Marci Sussenguth joined me on WJON. Schmidt says the parade will include approximately 70 units which includes marching bands.

Waite Park Police are reporting a stolen license plate tab on Aspen Circle. Alicia Mages from Tri County Crime Stoppers says a person reported their rear license tab was missing off of their vehicle.

Sartell's River Crossing will be close to full after 2 new businesses join the development this fall. Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum indicates Valvoline Instant Oil Change and Les Schwab Tire Company will be breaking ground this fall.

Cancer isn't something any of us want. Those at highest risk for prostate cancer are men from 40 to 75 years of age. That according to CentraCare Radiation Oncologist Dr. Nicholas Olson. He describes prostate cancer as an unregulated division of prostate cancer cells.

Everyone has a story to tell and this one is about Collins Brothers CEO/President, Monster Truck owner and St. Cloud Mayoral candidate James Trantina III. James grew up in Elk River where is father was a home building/contractor and his mother was an executive assistant, then realtor and now she works for him.

The St. Cloud Police Department are reporting a burglary on 800 block of 13th Street South were an outbuilding was broken into and the interior of the building was vandalized.

St. Cloud School District 742 is planning some curriculum changes for the 2024-2025 school year. St. Cloud School Superintendent Laurie Putnam joined me on WJON. She says the Tech and Apollo science teachers will have a new discovery education text book which has model lessons which includes numerous interactive options.

St. Martin is a town in Central Stearns County along county roads 12 and 195. The town has a population of 343. St. Martin was planned in 1866 and has been an incorporated city since 1891.

Grocery stores have changes dramatically over the years and where groceries can be purchased in the St. Cloud area has also changed. This is our 2nd installment of our St. Cloud area grocery store revisited feature.

St. Cloud City Councilman Jake Anderson is our next featured guest on WJON's My Life series. Jake spent the first 7 years of his life living on the iron range in Virginia, Minnesota. Both of his parents worked in the mines at Min Tech.
