The Minnesota Wild extended their winning streak to 4 games with a 6-2 win at Colorado Wednesday night. Star Tribune Sports Columnist joined me on WJON today. He say rookie Kirill Kaprizov helped set up a pair of goals last night and has been very impressive during this stretch.

The Timberwolves lost 139-112 in Milwaukee Tuesday night. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today. He says new head coach Chris Finch needs to get the Timberwolves to play better defense. He says they are still building around Karl-Anthony Towns but they need better defensive players around him.

The Timberwolves introduced Chris Finch as their new head coach at a news conference Monday. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today. Jim says Finch worked with Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations Gerson Rosas in Houston.

The Timberwolves lost 103-98 at New York against the Knicks Sunday night. The loss is the 8th in their last 9 and drops Minnesota to a NBA worst 7-24. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today. He says the firing was warranted. Souhan thought the Wolves front office wanted to see how Saunders would do with a healthy Karl-Anthony Towns and D'Angelo Russell as the same time but it seems apparent that the team just wasn't getting better under Saunders.

The Timberwolves' first game under their new head coach will be Tuesday night against the Bucks in Milwaukee. The game can be heard on AM 1240 and FM 95.3 WJON.

The Minnesota Timberwolves failed to close out yet another game in the final quarter on Friday, resulting in an 86-81 loss to the Toronto Raptors.
