MINNESOTA LAKE, Minn. (AP) - A carjacking suspect who eluded authorities after a standoff in Austin last month is under arrest.

Faribault County Sheriff Mike Gormley says the 23-year-old man was arrested Friday afternoon in Minnesota Lake, about 30 miles south of Mankato.

Reports say a SWAT team entered the building where the man had been hiding out and arrested him. Charges have not yet been filed.

Police also found a 14-year-old girl with the suspect. She had been missing from the Mankato area since Jan. 28.

The sheriff says the girl had not been harmed.

The fugitive had been wanted for armed robbery and carjacking in a case that also involved an armed standoff in Austin in January. Police searched an Austin home after a nine-hour standoff, but the suspect had eluded them.
