Blue Jays Rout Twins In Opener

The Twins lost 13-3 at Toronto against the Blue Jays in both team's regular season opener Friday night. The Blue Jays scored 4 first inning runs and never trailed. J.P. Arencibia hit 2 of the 4 homeruns for Toronto and Carl Pavano allowed 6 hits and 7 earned runs in 4 innings to take the loss for the Twins. Ricky Romero threw 6 1/3 innings with 1 earned run allowed to get thew win for Toronto. Denard Span was 2-4 with 1 RBI and Alexi Casilla added an RBI double for Minnesota.
