STILLWATER, Minn. (AP) - Washington County authorities say a device that was left in a bank by a robbery suspect appears to be inactive, but they're maintaining an evacuation of a two-block radius as a precaution.

Stillwater police were called to the US Bank downtown about 9:30 a.m. Saturday on a report of an armed robbery in progress. Officers say the suspect implied he had some sort of device.

The suspect eventually fled on foot and was arrested.

Police say the device was still in the bank two hours later. They say the device appears to be inactive or fake, but they're erring on the side of caution by maintaining the evacuation.
