CLEARWATER -- Reducing your toxins and helping you find your inner strength, Lightbody Wellness along with Studio 4:44 is now open in Clearwater to help you achieve your balance.

Shalynn Reid is the owner of Lightbody. She's been a personal trainer for 10 years and been doing yoga for most her life. She says Clearwater proved to be the best place to open her studio.

"We can bring people from all different areas, St. Cloud, Monticello, South Haven, St. Augusta, everywhere. I just think it [Clearwater] is a good hub."

Lightbody Wellness features six different yoga classes ranging from beginner to advanced classes. Reid says her Candlelight Yoga is one of her most popular classes.

"Candlelight yoga is a soft gentle yoga, which I would say is friendly to people of all levels, starting or more experienced."

Besides yoga, Reid also hosts personal training sessions, in-between classes. She specializes in training with kettlebells. She says kettlebells have personally helped her lose over 60 pounds of baby weight.

You can also set up sessions to use Lightbody Wellness' infrared sauna. The infrared sauna gives off a dry heat as opposed to a steam sauna. Reid says this dry heat can help reduce blood pressure, stress and body pains.

Next door to Lightbody is Studio 4:44. Kari McDermott is the owner. Reid says in connection with Lightbody, Studio 4:44 hosts several workshops on how to use essential oils.

"This Friday, we're having a 'winter wellness make and take class'. You can make your own bath salts and scent them with whatever oils you like, lotions and sprays."

Studio 4:44 also has other wellness resources to help the mind, body and spirit. Both businesses are hosting their grand opening Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

You can find Lightbody Wellness and Studio 4:44 at 8265 179th Street NW, next to the future Kwik Trip, across from Mathison Motors.
