Aitkin Man Arrested After 37-Mile Police Chase

PIERZ -- An Aitkin man was taken to jail after leading Morrison County authorities on a 37-mile chase Monday afternoon.

Sheriff Shawn Larsen says the incident happened around 4:15 p.m. The Pierz Police Department found a vehicle behind Pierz Foods that was driven by a man with a warrant out for his arrest related to a no-contact order, stemming from domestic abuse.

When officers attempted to stop the car, 56-year-old Tracy Wagner Sr. led them on a chase that ended in Mille Lacs County.

Wagner was arrested and is being held in Morrison County Jail awaiting charges.
