5 Cool Things to Do This Weekend in St. Cloud — June 16-18, 2011

The prestigious Smithsonian Institute has gifted the Stearns History Museum with this traveling exhibit from Saturday until August 28th, featuring souvenirs, clothing, letters and more from over 200 years of White House history. It's the only stop for this collection in the state of Minnesota, so don't miss it.

Jazz singer Charmin Michelle will grace the Paramount stage on Saturday night, accompanied by The Jazz Imports with saxophonist Kim Gast. This is part of the Paramount's popular Local Roots Summer Concert Series, and promises to be a relaxing and enjoyable musical evening.

Pretty much what you expect and want out of a giant Monster Truck round-up. Outlaw Motorsport's event is massive, taking over the Stearns County fairgrounds in Sauk Centre and spanning two nights. You can buy tickets at Napa Auto stores or at the gate. And, amateur racers with grand ambitions can bring their vehicles and try their hand at racing, too.

The quintessential small-town weekend festival; Foley will have a carnival with rides, vendors, a city-wide garage sale, a pageant, a medallion hunt with a grand prize of $100, a golf hole-in-one contest, and - well, the list is long.
