400 Supper Club Getting A New Owner, Name [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD - An iconic St. Cloud area restaurant is changing owners, and getting a new name.  The 400 Supper Club on Pleasant Lake will change hands on Friday.

New owner Dale Wicks says he plans to gradually make some subtle changes to the restaurant...

Wicks says he also wants to add an outside fireplace.

He says he knows the 400 Supper Club has a lot of history.

He says they plan on holding a grand opening on October 18th, and that's when they'll debut the new name the "Water's Edge Restaurant".

Current owner Cherie Verkinnes has owned the 400 Supper Club for 29 1/2 years. She says she's going to miss the people.

Verkinness says the restaurant has pretty much been her life. She says they'll be holding a customer appreciation on Friday, September 12th.

Dale Wicks currently works for the Target Corporation. This is his first chance to run a restaurant. He has also bought the home next door to the 400 Supper Club and plans to live there.
