Woman, Girl Die After Boat Flips in Lac qui Parle

MADISON, Minn. (AP) - A woman and a girl have died after a boat overturned on Lac qui Parle lake, sending its occupants into the water.

Reports say the boat flipped over Saturday afternoon near Boyd's Landing. The Lac qui Parle County Sheriff's Office says authorities pulled three people from the water. A man and a girl were taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson. A woman was taken to the Chippewa County Hospital in Montevideo.

The girl and woman were both pronounced dead at the hospitals.

Authorities are investigating. The names of the victims were not immediately released.
