The Minnesota Wild were shut out by the Chicago Blackhawks 1-0 Tuesday night at Xcel Energy Center. Marian Hossa was the lone goal scorer for Chicago.

Hossa intercepted Wild defenseman Clayton Stoner's pass in the Wild end, skated up the middle of the ice, and beat Backstrom at 15:14 of the second period for the 1-0 lead.

The Blackhawks outshot the Wild 31-20 in the game. Chicago remains in first place of the Western Conference with a record of 30-5-4. The Wild check in at 22-15-2, which puts them in sixth place in the West, four points behind Vancouver for the third seed.
