Two Renegades named to All-Star Game, Weaver Coach of the Year
ST. CLOUD -- Two players for the Granite City Renegades and their coach have won regular season honors.
Defensive End Anthony Carpenter was named to the all-star team for the third year in a row. Punt Returner Jermaine Holmes was also named to the team.
Head Coach Brett Weaver was named Coach of the Year.
The Renegades won the West Division with a 5-1 record and finished the regular season 5-3 overall.
The #2 seeded Renegades play host to the #6 seed Brainerd Lumberjacks Saturday at St. John's University. Gametime is 2:00 p.m.
If the Renegades win, they would play for the championship of the Midwest Premiere Football League Saturday, July 27 either at Woodbury High School or at St. Cloud State University's Husky Stadium.
