Twins Sign Davies to Minor League Contract

The Twins have signed righthanded starting pitcher Kyle Davies to a minor league contract.  The 29-year old has a 5.59 ERA in 7 major league seasons.  He last pitched in the major leagues in 2011 with Kansas City and was 1-9 with a 6.75 ERA in 13 starts with the Royals.

Davis is a 6'1 210 pound righthander who was once considered a top prospect in the Atlanta Braves organization.

The Twins are also one of many teams interested in free agent righthander Mark Prior, who's attempting a comeback.
