The Twins defeated the Royals 10-7 in Kansas City Monday night to earn their 3rd straight win and to win their 6th in their last 7.  Ben Revere was 3-5 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs, Jamey Carroll was 3-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs, Josh Willingham went 2-3 with a homerun with 3 RBIs and Justin Morneau hit a 2-run homerun for the Twins.  Cole DeVries earned his first major league win throwing 5 innings with 6 hits and 4 earned runs.  Matt Capps recorded the final our for his 13th save.

The Twins are 21-33 and will play at Kansas City again tonight at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Lefthander Francisco Liriano (1-5) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and lefthander Bruce Chen (4-5) toes the rubber for the Royals.

The Twins placed starting pitcher Carl Pavano on the 15-day disabled list with a strained shoulder.  Starting pitcher Nick Blackburn has been activated from the 15-day disabled list and will start in Pavano's place Wednesday night.
