The Twins reportedly agreed to a contract with 2nd overall pick Byron Buxton Monday.  The 18-year old outfielder was selected in the first round (2nd overall) by the Twins in last Monday's baseball draft.  Buxton is considered a 5-tool player right out of high school in Georgia.  The new agreement with Buxton and the Twins is contingent on Buxton passing a physical today.  Buxton is expected to report to rookie camp in Fort Myers, Florida.

The Twins also agreed to terms with 32nd overall pick J.O. Berrios of Puerto Rico.  The 18-year old righthanded pitcher has a fastball clocked as high as 97 MPH.  The Twins also signed 3rd round pick outfielder Adam Brett Walker.  Walker is a power hitting prospect from Jacksonville, Florida.

The Twins host Philadelphia tonight beginning a 3-game series after getting the day off Monday.  Gametime tonight at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Righthander Nick Blackburn gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Kyle Kendrick gets the ball for the Phillies.
