ST. CLOUD -- The third rabid skunk in a three week period has surfaced in the St. Cloud area. St. Cloud Health Director Lisa Schreifels says the skunk was captured and tested positive for rabies.

All the rabid skunk have been found in the south St. Cloud area.

Schreifels says the skunk did not come in contact with humans, however it did come in contact with four dogs. All the dogs were current on their rabies vaccinations.

Local Veterinarian and Health Care clinics have been notified by the St. Cloud Health and Inspections Department of the increased rabid skunk sightings.

The St. Cloud Health and Inspections Department reminds everyone who comes in contact with a rabid animal to see medical attention.
