Teen Hurt in Crash Near Pierz

PIERZ -- A 13-year-old boy is hurt after the vehicle he was riding in hit a tree.

The crash happened just after 7:30 a.m. Monday about a mile east of Pierz.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says a 16-year-old boy was driving westbound on 153rd Street when he lost control, went off the road and crashed into the tree.

The 13-year-old was taken to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls with unknown injuries. The 16-year-old driver was not hurt.

Sheriff Shawn Larsen has not released the names of the boys involved.
