Thirty-six-year-old Michael Lawson Jr. was sentenced to a year in jail, but all but three of those days were stayed. The Stearns County Attorney's Office says Lawson served one of the three days in jail and will be allowed serve the remaining two days through community service.

A Waite Park man has been charged with 5th degree criminal sexual conduct involving a vulnerable adult.

An investigation by the Minnesota Department of Human Services says a former staffer with WACOSA in Waite Park allegedly sexually abused a vulnerable adult. WACOSA provides training and employment support for those with disabilities.

WACOSA is opening a thrift store to help serve more people with disabilities learn job skills.
