Vikings Extend Rudolph
The Vikings reportedly have agreed to a 4-year $36 Million contract extension with tight end Kyle Rudolph. The 29-year old has 386 catches for 3,787 yards and 41 touchdowns in 8 NFL seasons. He was selected the 2nd round of the 2011 NFL draft.
Vikings Add Backup Quarterback
According to multiple reports the Vikings have agreed to sign Sean Mannion to a 1-year contract to be their backup quarterback behind starter Kirk Cousins. Mannion was a 2015 3rd round draft pick by the Rams.
Vikings Bringing Back Stefanski as OC
The Vikings are bringing back Offensive Coordinator Kevin Stefanski. The longtime Vikings assistant coach was promoted to interim Offensive Coordinator prior to Week 15 to replace John DeFilippo. Stefanski's time in Minnesota pre-dates head coach Mike Zimmer.
Vikings Play Preseason Opener Saturday Night
The Vikings play their preseason opener Saturday night when they play at Denver against the Broncos at 8pm (Central Time). Kirk Cousins is expected to start at quarterback for the Vikings but won't likely play much. In fact most, if not all, the starters will play sparingly.
