The Minnesota Timberwolves, University of Minnesota men's hockey team, Granite City Lumberjacks, and St. Cloud State University women's basketball team all started out their weekends with big wins on Friday night. Meanwhile, the NDSU Bison football team is getting ready to take the field for the FCS title matchup on Saturday afternoon.

The College of St. Benedict has named their first lacrosse head coach.

The NDSU football team advances to the NCAA semifinals with their win over East Tennessee Saturday. The St. Cloud State University men's and women's basketball teams, the Granite City Lumberjacks, and the St. Cloud Norsemen all posted dominant wins as well, but the Minnesota Wild and Gopher volleyball team were not as successful. On Sunday the Gopher women's basketball team, Minnesota Timberwolves, and St. John's University rugby team will be back in action.

The St. Cloud Norsemen and Granite City Lumberjacks picked up big wins on Friday, the St. Cloud State University men's and women's basketball teams came out on top, but the St. John's University men's rugby and Minnesota Timberwolves lost their matchups. On Saturday, the Minnesota Wild will head to L.A. while the Gopher men's basketball team travels to Michigan, and the Gopher volleyball team will face Wisconsin in the Elite Eight round.

The NDSU Bison football team, SCSU women's basketball team, Minnesota Wild, and St. Cloud Norsemen all posted Saturday wins, while the SCSU men's hockey team, Gopher men's hockey team, and SCSU men's basketball team each came up short. On Sunday the Gopher men's basketball team will face Mississippi State on the road, and the Minnesota Vikings will face Detroit at Ford Field.

The Gopher men's hockey team, SCSU men's hockey team, St. Cloud Norsemen, and Granite City Lumberjacks all put up impressive wins on Friday, and the Minnesota Timberwolves dropped a heartbreaker to the Nets. Meanwhile, the NDSU football team, SCSU men's basketball team, and Minnesota Wild are getting ready to return to action on Saturday.

Another St. Cloud high school sports team will have a new coach in their next season.

The Gopher men's hockey team, Gopher football team, SCSU women's basketball team, Granite City Lumberjacks, NDSU Bison football team, SJU football team, and Minnesota Timberwolves all checked one in the win column on Saturday, but the Gopher women's basketball team, SCSU men's hockey team, SCSU men's basketball team, St. Cloud Norsemen, St. Cloud adapted soccer team, and Minnesota Wild all came up short. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings return home to U.S. Bank Stadium to host the NFC North-leading Green Bay Packers Sunday.

The Granite City Lumberjacks and Gopher men's basketball teams both earned solid wins on Friday night. The Gopher men's hockey, St. Cloud State women's basketball, and SCSU men's hockey teams all struck out, and the St. Cloud adapted Soccer CI team came up just short in the opening round of the state tournament. Meanwhile, the Gopher, Bison, and Johnnie football teams, Gopher women's basketball, SCSU men's basketball, St. Cloud Norsemen, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Minnesota Wild will suit up on Saturday.
