A plan to build a new high school in Sartell, along with upgrades to each school in the district, will be presented to the school board in the near future. The Sartell district has been studying its facilities with a community task force since March to come up with a solution for growing enrollment in the district.

A Sartell teenager is recovering from a spinal cord injury suffered in a high school wrestling match - an injury that left him temporarily paralyzed. Nathan O'Brien couldn't move after his wrestling opponent used a routine move called the "fireman's carry" during a match last month. O'Brien spent five days in the hospital and began to regain his mobility and strength.

Rebecca Elliott has been involved with music all of her life. Recently she decided to pursue a career in music, and now is getting a jump start in her education. As part of an independent study she helps conduct the Sartell High School Ninth Grade Band.

This week's All-Star Student is a two year starting quarterback for the Sartell Sabers. His love, and dedication for football has been described as having another coach on the field.

The Sartell High School marching band is getting ready to perform at Sartell Summer Fest tomorrow. It's the first time that the high school has had a marching band in nearly 14 years.

Sartell High School is receiving a 2013 national Gold Council of Excellence Award.

The Sartell High School choir performed Lady Gaga's song "Bad Romance" during their concert on Monday night. And then they brought their performance to the school cafeteria. Check out the video of their flash mob performance.
