As the winter chill sets in, the Catholic Community School is gearing up for some much-needed upgrades. Let’s see how they’re rallying the community to help.

The Minnesota State High School League approved boys volleyball as a high school sport last year. The first season of boys high school volleyball as a full fledged sport in Minnesota will be during the 2024-2025 school year.

Earlier this week Emmett Keenan and Julie Murphy each received promotions at St. Cloud Catholic Community Schools and Cathedral High School. Keenan joined me on WJON to talk about his new title, which will take hold starting July 1.

The girls basketball season is underway and the boys will be starting soon. This year will look a bit different with shot clocks in use for all varsity games. Cathedral Activities Director and President of the St. Cloud Officials Association Emmett Keenan joined me on WJON.

Cathedral High School and Middle School is hosting an open house Thursday from 5-6:30 p.m. I was joined today on WJON by Cathedral High School Principal Kathy Crispo, Cathedral Middle School Principal Erin Hatlestad and Cathedral Activities Director Emmett Keenan.
