Stingers Top Rox Saturday

The Willmar Stingers held off a late rally by St. Cloud for a 6-5 win Saturday night at Joe Faber Field. The Rox trailed 6-3 heading into the bottom of the ninth and rallied for a pair of runs but stranded the tying run on second base.

The Rox fall to 8-10 on the season with the loss, while the first place Stingers improved to 11-5.

St. Cloud will host Willmar again on Sunday with first pitch scheduled for 3:05.
