ST. CLOUD -- The Stearns County Board of Commissioners has frozen their salaries for 2013.

The board voted 4-to-1 to freeze their pay at the current $35,500.

The dissenting vote was from commissioner Leigh Lenzmeier who wasn't opposed to the salary freeze, but wanted benefits as part of the discussion before voting.

Meanwhile, Sherburne County Commissioners today (Tuesday) voted to give themselves a two-percent raise.  They earn $38,406 next year, up from the $37,653 they received this year.

Sherburne County Commissioners also get a $50 per diem per meeting.
